"The Law given from Sinai [The Ten Commandments] was a civil and municipal as well as a moral and religious code."
John Quincy Adams. Letters to his son.
p. 61

Farewell Address: "The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion" ...and later: "...reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle..."

God Within Our Borders...An American Tradition!

Exercise your freedom of speech to defend and maintain your freedom of religion

Hello and welcome to MissionEmily.com. My name is Emily Boubin, and I'm 14 years old. My parents and I developed the idea of selling T-shirts withGod Within Our Borders...An American Tradition! religious-political statements in response to what we believe to be an attack on God and religion by certain groups. If you would like to read more about me and our philosophy, click on Emily.

The United States was founded, and our government was based on religious principles. Our forefathers strongly believed that without God, we will not strive as a country. James Madison stated, "the future and success of America is not in this Constitution but in the laws of God upon which this Constitution is founded." We believe that mentioning God in a public place in no way forces anyone to practice any particular faith something the founding fathers wanted to protect against. We have included some quotes by our founding fathers. Click
here if you would like to look at the link that discusses the story of 'separation of church and state' which has been manipulated to an excessive degree.

Finally, one of the reasons we are so passionate about this is because schools and other governmental institutions fear that they may
face legal consequences if they do not restrict the freedom of speech and religion of students, teachers and employees. We feel very strongly about this as a family because my grandfather and his family escaped from Czechoslovakia due to my grandfather protesting against the Communist government. Several different countries invaded Czechoslovakia in the 1960s specifically to restrict the citizens' freedoms. My grandfather was tortured emotionally, physically beaten and imprisoned for his beliefs. Soldiers threatened to kill my father and interrogated him at the age of 5 all because my grandfather stood up for what he believed. If you would like to read more about my grandfather and his sacrifices, click on Anton Boubin.

I will not stand by and do nothing while the anti-religous groups attack the American tradition of having God and some of the Biblical teachings as a backdrop to the foundation of our government. Please join me in our mission to stand up for our beliefs, and let these groups know that their efforts are only strengthening our faith.

Thank you for your support!

"It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible."
George Washington

"We've staked the whole future of American civilization not on the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future...upon the capacity of each and all to govern ourselves, to control our-selves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God. The future and success of America is not in this Constitution, but in the laws of God upon which this Constitution is founded."
James Madison

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion..."
John Adams

"We've staked our future on our ability to follow the Ten Commandments with all of our heart." James Madison
